AuditionRoom Product Update 9/9

Published September 8th, 2020

We're excited to share the progress on our new offering, AuditionRoom.

The energy here at Acceptd around this new product is palpable. When we set out to build AuditionRoom a handful of months ago, it felt like we were on to something important. How can online auditions not be a chaotic mess with technology hurdles, but instead be a great and simple experience? It felt like something that we were called to and uniquely suited to solve.

But as anyone who has been part of new software projects knows, they take time and frequently the end product doesn't live up to the hype. So we had to ask ourselves: Can we build it in time for the upcoming audition season? And can we build something that doesn't just suffice, but really delights?

I'm happy to share that we are on schedule and that the usability and features are solidifying in a way that will make our partners pleased that they decided to team up with us for their live online auditions.

I want to give you sneak preview of how it is coming along. As an overview to make sure you are all caught up, AuditionRoom brings together everything you need to conduct professional and polished live auditions:

  • Scheduling

  • Messaging

  • Live video (powered by Zoom)

  • Adjudication

  • Chat groups

With AuditionRoom, you will set up Lobbies and Audition Rooms.

Lobbies are where your applicants come on their audition day to learn more about your organization and programs and optionally join a group video presentation and Q&A. Your moderators and ambassadors ensure the lobby experience goes smoothly.

Audition Rooms are where your ambassadors and adjudicators navigate applicants through their auditions.

Note that these are real screenshots of the product, no smoke and mirrors. I’ll soon provide an update of how other pieces are shaping up!

Thanks!

Steve

ps: A huge THANK YOU to all our customers and partners who have been providing amazing feedback along the way. We can't wait to get AuditionRoom in your hands.
